Hair in the room, not only makeup
Most people who write to us about a hotel appointment want hair as well. A blow-dry before dinner, an updo before an event, or hair and makeup together on a wedding morning. The same senior artist does both, in the order that makes sense: hair first, so that hot tools and hairspray never go near finished makeup.
As a rough guide, a blow-dry runs about 45 minutes, makeup about 45 minutes, and hair and makeup together for one person about 90 minutes to two hours depending on the style. An updo takes longer than a blow-dry. Tell us the hour you need to be ready and we work backwards from it rather than forwards from the arrival time.
The room needs very little: a plug, a chair with a back rather than an armchair, and a window or a lamp beside it. The artist brings her own mirror light. See hair and makeup at home in Lisbon if you are in an apartment or a rental rather than a hotel, or blow-dry in Lisbon if that is all you need.

Common Questions
How far in advance do I need to book?
We accept same-day bookings subject to availability. For a guaranteed artist, especially for weddings or group events, we recommend booking 48 to 72 hours ahead. During peak season (June to September), book a week or more in advance.
Does the artist bring all their own products?
Yes. The artist arrives with a full professional kit: brush sets, primers, high-performance foundations matched to your skin tone, setting sprays, hot tools and everything needed for the look you have requested. You provide nothing.
What does the artist need in the room?
A plug, a chair that is not an armchair, and a window or a lamp near it. That is all. A desk or a dressing table helps but is not required. Nothing is attached to the walls and nothing is left behind.
What if I have specific skin concerns or allergies?
Tell us when you enquire. Our senior artist works with sensitive skin, a wide range of skin tones, and specific product preferences such as hypoallergenic or vegan formulations. If we cannot meet a requirement we will say so before you book.
Do you serve areas outside central Lisbon?
Yes. We cover all of Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra and Estoril. Travel supplements apply for locations beyond central Lisbon and we confirm any additional cost upfront.
Can I book hair styling alongside makeup?
Yes, and most people do. The same senior artist does both, one after the other, in your room. Hair first, then makeup, so nothing is disturbed by the hot tools.
Does the hotel need to know?
Not usually, but it is worth a word at reception if you are expecting the artist early in the morning. Some properties ask visitors to be announced. We arrive on foot with a case, not with equipment that needs a service lift.
